Adirondacks Plein Air Festival 2018

Last week I got back from my annual trip to Saranac Lake where I participated in the Adirondacks Plein Air Festival. Every year I look forward to seeing friends that I 've made through the years and revisiting old sites to paint like Lake Placid, St Regis Falls, Monument Falls. There's the view from our house over Lake Flower, where I painted the nocturne. It's fun to go with my painting buddies and sit in nature without talking and paint for hours on end. I got caught in a torrential downpour. I sat in a new spot that my friend scouted out and we named it Secret Spot. I painted my fourth bridge over the river in Saranac Lake for the Quick Draw. I added new quick sketches to my sketchbook that document my travels through the course of the years as they go by. I will surely be going back next year.
