Today's plein air painting was done at Olana, the home of Frederic Church who was a nineteenth century Hudson river school painter. The day was ideal- bright clear sunny skies and a breeze blowin' in my hair. I had many other things to do today, but on a day like this I could not pass up the opportunity to paint with a group of people that do this regularly around here. All else can wait...

Dynamic and stunning composition. Great piece
I've never been to Olana, but I want to go now after seeing your two paintings. Nice capture of the gusto and nuance of levels Church was so known for! And last week was such a autumn gem for sure. Beautiful painting.
