Storm Cloud - 8"x10.5" oil pastel on paper

I was sitting high up on Manana Island, which is off of Monhegan, busy doing other landscape views when I turned around and saw this cloud approaching behind me. I had to sketch it as fast as I could and then pack up my supplies to get to the kayak to avoid the potential downpour. I like that I was able to capture exactly what I saw, so fast - under 5 mins. and dash away.

That's phenomenal that you were able to get this done in 5 minutes, Gretchen! Amazing! It's a really lovely piece.
