Overexposed Still Life - 8"x10" oil & graphite on cardboard

In this still life I am under the influence of Dan Rupe, who I mentioned the other day. I am interested in his underpainting technique. I am finding that it is a good way to break my "usual" approach to painting. I am always interested in finding ways that help me to grow and change and to dig deeper and wider into my own creative process. This cardboard is underpainted with alizarin crimson.
