Red dreams, fire sirens, night of passion. She’s loosing her blues & songs of sorrow, afternoons of naps. Black birds singing in the night, a tune I know, the words are different. I’ve let go.

When I woke up this morning I had a vivid image in my mind from the last dream that I had this morning. It was of these golden feet leaving the ground. I knew I would paint this for my blog today. It wasn't until I was painting it that I realized what the symbolism is - LEAP OF FAITH - so pertinent for me and many of my friends right now in our lives. We are always on our journeys. We should always be mindful of the LEAPS OF FAITH that we have to take in life to keep us going forward and to keep us in our creative processes.

This nude stands starkly leaning against a plaster wall that enhances the porcelain quality of her skin tone. She is fragile and vulnerable looking. But not afraid to pose or stand in front of you.

This nude is from a one minute pose. It looks like a Matisse - something that I like. It is the freedom of her pose and the sweetness of her face that balance the haphazard lines of the drawing. The casualness of this Art is what appeals to me. It is simply a charcoal sketch on newsprint and some gold leaf to add a little glamour.

The mixed media in this is what is most appealing on this throw-away card board. I like the rough contrast between that and the luxurious gold leaf. She looks as though she were baskinig in the glow of a sunrise suggested behind her.

This is a color combination I am obsessed with right now. I did this sketch awhile ago and it needed some sprucing up.
This nude is made more exciting by the colors I added in to enhance what was a good foundation to build more on.

I did the background of this painting like it was a batik using wax crayon and dye. It was just a little experiment in technique.
