Nude #158 - 8.25"x10.5" - gouache, graphite, wax & silver leaf on paper

This nude is snowbound. Her form takes on the magnitude of a glacier floating on a river of crusty ice. The snow falls here in Hudson and I am trying to incorporate my surroundings into my nudes. I am looking at ways to join the two subjects. At the same time I am interested in breaking down more mental blocks that I have. My nature is one of a Fauvist. That must be brought out in my work. I replicated previous nude #114 and put my winter spin on her. She was perfect for the icey white I saw in my vision.
