Field of Thistles - 9.5"x11.5" - watercolor, graphite, oil, silver leaf on paper

SOLD to a collector in NY
I am trying to work my memory muscles when it comes to landscapes. In so doing I am trying to capture what my feeling of what I saw was rather than exactly what I saw. I was taken by the oval heads of the thistles dotting the field spanning back into the distance and popping above the swath of golden field.

Your creativity is exceptional. Your vision, technique and design are also exceptional. Glad to see you are pursuing your ART. Do you ever consider trades?
